My client is searching for a Senior Manager Accountant to join their offices based in Hove, East Sussex on a hybrid basis.
Description
As a Senior Manager at my clients Hove office, you will work alongside the partner to manage their portfolio of clients and team of staff. The candidate must be able to work independently to cover the partner when they are out of the office, plus be confident managing the team. The candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified and must have a minimum of 3 years post qualification practice experience.
Responsibilities
• Reporting to and working alongside partner
• Reviewing work and finalising accounts, tax returns, letters and fees to a standard and sending them directly to the client
• Reviewing client and HMRC correspondence and drafting responses or communicating directly with the client
• Assisting with ad hoc advisory matters, such as, financial forecasts, incorporation and management accounts
• Dealing with ad hoc client queries/advice (tax, Xero, etc.)
• Managing the team with regards to training, attendance and holiday
• Oversee the workflow of the team
• Competent use of accountancy and taxation software – Xero, CCH, Excel, Word
• Maintain a professional working relationship with both clients and colleagues
Skills required
• Qualified ACA or ACCA
• Confidentiality
• Experience of supervising and training staff
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Good IT skills
