My client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their successful and highly regarded firm in Bristol.

Joining a motivated and supportive HR team, you will be providing proactive, commercially driven HR advice and support to legal teams within the firm, enabling effective, business focused people solutions in line with supporting their strategy.

What You'll Do

Day to day you will be working in close collaboration with senior partners across the firm including Group, Team and Sector leaders, as well as other HR Business Partners, the HR Director and the wider HR, Recruitment and L&D teams. As an integral part of the HR Business Partner team, you will be actively encouraged to contribute to and support the delivery of the HR strategy in line with their overarching business objectives.

With strong commercial insights gained from experience within a dynamic professional services or similar environment, you will understand business requirements, external markets, current trends and HR best practice, and be supported to proactively identify opportunities to shape Group/Team strategies and improve performance.

Developing effective relationships with key stakeholders is essential in this role, as you will be working daily and on a direct basis with senior leaders and HR colleagues to proactively plan and support the successful implementation of Group strategies to ensure the business has the capacity and agility to meet current and future business challenges.

This will include working with Group, Team and Sector leaders to:

  • identify opportunities and areas of improvement which will drive enhanced organisational and people performance and business results.
  • identify resourcing needs and work in partnership with the Recruitment Team to define recruitment activities which ensure the quality of hires are continually enhancing our talent pools.
  • engage, advise and support with strategies which actively attract, retain and develop a diverse workforce.
  • drive and deliver HR initiatives in support of business needs, such as talent development, talent mapping, succession planning, employee engagement, leadership development and organisational change.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations and HR issues in line with our policies and best practice, including performance and/or absence management, disciplinary & grievance

Requirements

  • Be a motivated and proactive team player who appreciates how and when to seek support as well as knowing when to support others.
  • Possess effective influencing skills in order to support the business needs.
  • Have the professional confidence to provide constructive challenge as needed, being able to influence/persuade senior managers using a range of influencing strategies to shape effective HR and business solutions
  • Project a highly professional presentation and communication style, with experience of building effective HR ‘business partnering’ relationships with key people at a senior level within the business and within the HR team
  • Be able to evidence your proactivity in identifying ways to drive better business performance

 

Be able to travel regularly to other office locations.

Measure effectiveness and seek feedback from others on progress and input into designing and developing improvements.
